Solid Concrete Contruction

What is SOLID-SIX Construction?

This unique style of construction, which is not offered by all builders, ensures your home has twice the fortification and better insulation than conventional concrete block construction. The process creates "Cast in Place Concrete Shells" in which cement is poured in a series of cast forms that create a contiguous seal of walls, floors and ceilings.

Wind Resistence

Our signature SOLID-SIX Construction shell protects your home and family from sustained hurricane force winds of up to 200 mph. Short of an underground bunker, nothing is safer in extreme winds than a Solid Six Structure.

Energy Savings

Concrete absorbs energy and acts a natural cooling radiator. A home kept at 78 degrees, when it is 95 degrees outside, will naturally radiate at a comfortable 78 degrees. If power is lost, the concrete will remain at 78 degrees and keep the air inside at this temperature much longer than a wooden or CBS shell home, which does not have the same thermal properties.

Security

SOLID-SIX combined with the use of impact resistant glass windows it is the most efficient environment for safety and comfort that money can buy.

Noise Reduction

SOLID-SIX Construction homes resist noise transfer. They are designed and built to meet a STC (Sound Transmission Class) requirement of 55 decibels (the typical decibel level of a normal conversation). This is a direct result of the six inch thickness of the walls, ceilings and floors of the home, accomplished during the pouring process.

Pest Control

SOLID-SIX construction is impervious to rodents and insects with no wood to attract termites and other destructive pest such as rodent.

Slow Burn

Wood components need to be involved in order for a concrete/steel structure to be weakened. These SOLID-SIX built homes are devised to resist fires for up to 4 hours at 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, without affecting adjacent multi family units.

Impact Windows

Impact windows and doors combine heavy-duty aluminum or vinyl frames with impact-resistant laminated glass. A special silicone glazing process helps keep the glass from breaking away from the frame.

Laminated glass is constructed by bonding a tough Butacite(r)* polyvinylbutyral (PVB) plastic interlayer between two pieces of glass under heat and pressure. Once sealed, the glass "sandwich" behaves as a single unit and appears transparent, just like ordinary glass. These windows and doors are permanently installed, freeing the homeowner from the hassle of taking down and putting up shutters while allowing a clear and unobstructed view of the outdoors.

The laminated glass is similar to the glass found in automobile windshields, but three times stronger. Not only do they guard from dangerous UV rays and noise but upon impact from debris or wind, laminated glass may crack, but the pieces tend to adhere to the plastic interlayer, keeping the glass intact within the frame.
